Fort Mill: A Battle for Health Care

Fort Mill, South Carolina is in a heated battle. The town has grown to be a destination for many newcomers to the Charlotte metro area. The area is growing and the needs of the community are expanding. A new hospital was approved in 2006 to be operated by Tenant and Piedmont Medical Center, but a court challenge lead the State Supreme court to eventually throw out the original plans because it contained data from 2007 and made all interested parties resubmit their intentions.
Proposals are expected from Rock Hill's Piedmont Medical Center, Charlotte's Carolina's Medical Center, and Charlotte's Presbyterian HealthCare.
